Mr. Lawrence Eugene Brown, 90, of 150 Darrell Davis Road, Burlington, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at his residence.

He was born on November 9, 1935 in North Wilkesboro, NC and he was the son of B.J. Brown and Rachel Bollinger Brown, both deceased. Moving to High Point when he was eight years old, he grew up in High Point before moving to Burlington about 1963. He retired from IBM Corporation where he worked as a computer customer service engineer in the Burlington and Greensboro areas. Lawrence married Selma Ann Gentry of Burlington on June 23, 1968 and they spent 57 wonderful years together.

Other than his wife of the home, he is survived by two children; a son, Jonathan Brown and his wife Christinia "Christie" and one daughter, Christine Brown Slater. He is also survived by three grandchildren; Caleigh Brown, Colton Brown and Vincent Slater; niece, Ashley Jones Gillespie and a nephew, Mike Jones and also other family members including Steven Slater.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Sibyl Joan Jones of Eden, Bettie Lou Brown and Rebecca Anne Brown "Becky", both of High Point.

A service to celebrate and honor his life will held on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington at 2:00pm with the family receiving friends and family for a time of visitation following the service.

Memorials made in his honor may be made to any local animal rescue organization or to Hospice of Alamance County.
