Larry leaves a wonderful legacy in raising his 14 children with strong Catholic values & prayer life. He did so with being a great example of his faith through much commitment, love & sacrifice. But most of all with the grace of God.
Life for Larry began on a rural farm in Belle Plaine, MN just down the road from St John's Catholic Church. He attended Sts Peter and Paul school until 8th grade. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1973. He met the love of his life Teresa (Teri) in 1973 & were married in July 1974 & ended up building a home in rural Belle Plaine to raise their family. Larry was a hard-working husband & father while working full time at the following companies with a variety of positions (White Motors, Lee Data, the Chaska school system & Gustavus Adolphus). He was instrumental in opening a parish & school– Immaculate Heart of Mary in St Paul, MN where his children would be taught their Traditional Catholic Faith within the Society of St Pius X (SSPX). After years of commuting, his parents donated 30 acres of land right behind Larry's house to open another school & chapel for the SSPX, which was named Holy Family Academy and Chapel.
Throughout the years as his family grew, he enjoyed the many hugs of affection & love from his children & grandchildren. Larry grew up in a household where singing was a part of the day-to-day activity. Larry had a wonderful voice & was a part the Madrigals in high school. He carried that gift of music to his family & taught them all to sing. This was such a blessing as they all have wonderful voices. Since singing was so much a part of his family's life it was only fitting that hours before he passed away, he sang along with some of his siblings, children & grandchildren who surrounded his bed. Larry received the last rites hours before passing and died a holy, happy death surrounded by his youngest sibling John, children & grandchildren reciting the Rosary for him.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew & loved him.
