Lawrence L. Hammond, 81, died peacefully on Friday, December 12, 2025, after a short battle with cancer. Born in Springfield to the late Floyd and Violet (Brown) Hammond, he was a proud Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam era.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years Marilyn (Parisi) Hammond, their two devoted sons; Jeffrey and his wife Tazia and Mark and his wife Heather, brother Steven and five cherished grandchildren; Delaney, Declan, Emma, Logan and Madison.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11am until 1pm, concluding with a Prayer Service at 1pm at Toomey O'Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield. Larry's Committal Service with Military Honors will follow at 2pm at MA Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1120, Framingham, MA 01701 or to St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, 47 Pine St., West Springfield, MA 01089.

We have not seen each other in many years, but we had many laughs in the 70's at Collins Taven. Playing pool and swapping funny stories!
Larry was a good guy. I'm sure he will be missed
