Obituary of Lawrence George Hutton
Lawrence George Hutton, known to his loved ones as Larry, passed away on September 21, 2023,
at the age of 85 at his home in Blaine, MN, he was surrounded by family. He was born on September
24, 1937, in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Larry was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 61 years, Elaine
Eugenia Hutton.
Larry is survived by his wife Elaine and his two daughters. His oldest daughter, Stacy Ann Eria,
is married to Teibaba Eria and together they have three sons, Lawrence lete Eria (Little Larry), Baraniko
David Eria (Niko), and Teibaba John Iaan Eria (T.J.). His younger daughter, Laurie Jaye Falz is married
to Jay Falz, and they have a son named Samuel Jay Falz. Larry had a deep love for his family and was
known for fiercely protecting and caring for all of them.
Throughout his life, Larry and Elaine traveled the world together, creating amazing memories
and making lifelong friends from around the globe. Larry had a passion for travel as well as history and
explored various exotic locales, including Europe, Australia, Singapore, China, and Africa. He was an
elite-level combat vegetable gardener, a bit of a card shark with mad Bridge, Cribbage and Euchre skills.
He taught both of his daughters and all four of his grandsons the importance of the left/ace combo. He
took joy in his flower beds and even created special ones just for his wife, Larry was also known for his
honesty and speaking the truth. He was a man who could actively listen. His honesty could make him short
with people, but his love once given, never wavered.
Larry had an illustrious career as a Senior Social Child Protection Worker for Hennepin County for
over 30 years. His dedication to protecting children made him a force to be reckoned with. He graduated
from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse in 1960, and never went back.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Harriet and Lawrence (Toad) Hutton, his younger
brother Robert Hutton, and his dear friend, David Seiberling.
Larry's legacy will live on through the love he shared with his family and friends, the impact he made
in his career, and the memories of his travels. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of
knowing him. The family intends tohold a celebration of life event. Date to be determined.
