Lawrence L. Keefer, 89, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Rolling Hills Manor.
Born on November 10, 1935, in Union County, PA, the son of the late Lester L. and Etta M. Eddinger Keefer. On July 26, 1957, he married the former Genevieve E. Manbeck, who passed away on July 27, 2020.
He graduated from Mifflinburg High School Class of 1954 and Williamsport Area Community College.
Larry served honorably in the Army National Guard, retiring after over 30 years.
He retired from the Buffalo Valley Telephone Co. after over 30 years as an installer and repairman.
Larry enjoyed hunting, hobby farming, storytelling, barbershop quartet singing in America, and mowing grass.
He was a member of the Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Vaughn, and wife Debbie Keefer of Millmont, Van Keefer of Mifflinburg, Brenda Dietrich of Lewisburg, six grandchildren, Kelly, Lisa, John, Josh, Olivia, Ben, 13 great-grandchildren and one on the way, and his special friend, Dorothy Wert of Mifflinburg.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers-in-law.
Family and friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 to 11 am on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene, 12 Market Street, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 11, with Pastor Wayne S. Krell, officiating.
Burial with full military honors accorded by veterans of the Mifflinburg American Legion and Mifflinburg VFW will be in the Dreisbach Cemetery.
In place of flowers, memorial contributions in Larry's memory may be sent to the Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene, 12 Market Street, Mifflinburg, PA 17844.
