Lawrence Marinucci Obituary

Lawrence 'Larry' E. Marinucci

Lawrence "Larry" E. Marinucci, age 68, of Hibbing, Minn., passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, Minn.

He was born August 29, 1957, to Brundo and Mary (Valentini) Marinucci in Hibbing, Minn.

He worked at Hib Tac for 36 years, where his dedication and strong work ethic earned the respect of all who worked beside him. In addition, he also worked for the Blessed Sacrament Church, Assumption School, Real Life, and shared his skills through maintenance work in Cook, Minn. No matter what the job was, Larry took pride in doing things right and was always willing to lend a hand wherever he was needed.

In his younger years, Larry was famous for his legendary spaghetti feeds, bringing people together with his love of cooking. He had a deep love for food, good company, and creating moments that turned into cherished memories.

In the last year of his life, Larry's faith truly blossomed; he found great peace and strength through his growing spirituality. His heart was open, his spirit was generous, and his life was defined by love, service, and family.

Larry's greatest joy and proudest accomplishment in life was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched everyone he knew. His presence will be deeply missed, but the lessons he shared and the love he gave will live on through all who knew him.

Larry is survived by his wife, Crystal Marinucci, stepchildren, Amber (Dusty) Sydow, Alicia Overstreet, siblings, Jerry (Jean) Marinucci, David (Colleen) Marinucci, Robert (Sunny Simpson) Marinucci, Dianne (Chris) Dougherty, sister-in-law, Jeniffer Marinucci; step-grandchildren, Alexis Carter, Ebony (Ryan) Johnson, James Gibson, Tai Gibson, Blake Sydow; great-grandchildren, Grant and Britta Johnson, numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Michael and Terrance Marinucci, and niece, Gina Maki.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Interment will be at the Maple Hill Cemetery Columbarium in Hibbing.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital are preferred.
