I am so thankful for all that Al did for the University of Louisville.
In the 1990s when we were raising money to build a football stadium, Al volunteered without compensation by providing experienced leadership of our stadium staff that was made up of a lot of young interns.
Al was truly. one of a kind. He did it his way, which was the right way.
I will miss him and his sense of humor and everything about him.
I send my deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

I am so sorry to learn of Al's passing. I had the opportunity to get to know Al, Barbara and Janet while interning in UL's stadium office. He was one of the kindest and funniest people I've ever met. He would often treat the stadium staff to lunch at Jack Fry's.

During the KY State Fair he would take all of us all and insist on pork chop sandwiches and hot fudge sundaes.

His generosity and larger than life personality will be missed.

Al was an amazing friend. Whatever you needed done, Al was the man to "getter"done. Such a giving soul. Al will be missed by all that ever had the honor of being in his vast realm of friends. RIP, Al
