Such a wonderful human being! I think the last time I saw Dr. Port was after the Gore/Lieberman presidential "defeat." He was outraged, in his smiling, affable way. I drive by the site of his old office almost every day...now a luxury, high-rise apartment of SU and Upstate students. My parents (carolyn and paul berry) adored him, as I suspect all his patients/friends did. ...no other appointment with a doctor will ever be as delightful. a treasure. sending you all higs

My mother, Carolyn (Keeter) Berry was a patient and friend of Dr. Port´s for years. My husband (Seth Tucker) and I were also patients. He was one of the most charming people I´ve ever met. I remember seeing Dr. Port´s after the Gore vs. Bush election. (We were both stricken that the Supreme Court decided Bush won.) Dr. Port was incredulous: "Bush won in Florida?! ....when Lieberman was on the ticket with Gore? With all those Jewish grandmothers in Florida?!?!" A delightful, delightful man!

I worked along side this gentleman and gentle man for 29 years at his private practice. It was an honor and privilege to have known him and remained friends for 50 years. Rest in peace Doctor Port.
