Lawrence Thomas (Larry) Reno, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather died Tuesday, November 25,2025 in Manhattan, Kansas. He was 90 years old.
Larry was born on February 3,1935, to Mary and Lawrence Reno in Chicago, Illinois. He had a brother Ron, who preceded him in death, and a sister Jackie of Winfield, Illinois.
When Larry graduated from high school, he joined the United States Air Force for 20 years of service. After retiring from the Air Force, Larry went back to school at Kansas State University, He had a long career, that he loved, working as an Accountant for the K-State Dining and Housing Department. He was also an avid fan of K-State football and basketball.
Larry is survived by his wife Barbara of Manhattan, four children: Cyndy (Reno) and Joe Salmon of Placerville; California, Susie (Reno) Swope of Topeka, Kansas, Mike and Peggy (Swenson) Reno of Clifton, Virginia, and Kathy Reno of Topeka, Kansas; nine grandchildren: Tom Salmon, Chris Swope, Jeff Salmon, Tyler Swope, Conner Swope, Tanner Swope, Kaitlyn Reno, Jack Reno, Kevin Reno; and five great-grandchildren.
Larry's funeral will be Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Manhattan. Inurnment will be private in the Wamego City Cemetery.
