Lawrence "Larry" E. Robinson, 77, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025. He was born on July 26, 1947 in St. Louis to Clarence and Louisa (Goetz) Robinson. While growing up, the family lived in Cahokia, Illinois with three siblings: Ron, Louise and Joseph. At the age of 19, Larry was called to serve in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Moscow Mills. This is where he met his sweetheart, Sharon Burris.
The rest is history. The couple was united in holy matrimony on August 23, 1969 in Defiance, MO. They were blessed with two sons: Andy and Doug. Larry began working for MO Edison, then renamed Union Electric and now known as Ameren. He retired in 2011 after working as a devoted lineman for Ameren, after many years of dedicated service. Some of his pastimes included woodworking, making beautiful furniture for family and also for local charity auctions. Moscow Mills United Methodist Church was a big part of his life, serving whenever he was asked. Sharon and Larry loved to travel with their grandchildren. Requirements were: 3 years old and potty trained. The grandchildren have many great memories of their travels.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 56 years, Sharon Robinson; his two sons and spouses: Andy (Shannan) Robinson of Washington, MO, Doug (Angie) Robinson of Troy; his five adoring grandchildren: Macy Robinson, Kailey (Zach) Harms, Olivia (Christopher) Grellner, Paige Robinson and fiancée, Nick Helein and Morgan Robinson (Lydia Wombacher). He is further survived by his brother-in-laws: Randy Root, Jim (Laura) Burris, Terry (Debbie) Burris and his sister-in-law, Marsha Robinson; Haley and Gabrielle Woll, two honorary granddaughters.
