Lawrence W. “Larry” Rogers, Jr., age 73, of Pass Christian, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023.
Larry was born in New Orleans. His family moved to Bay St. Louis in 1964.
Larry Attended St. Joseph Seminary in Covington, LA, LSU-Baton Rouge, and Baruch College in New York City majoring in social psychology and marketing. He worked at Citibank, New York and during his tenure there held many positions. Among them were Retail Area Branch Director, Strategic Development Manager, and Vice-President of Marketing and Business Communication at LaGuardia College-City University of New York and later became the Practice Manager for a medical office in New York City.
Larry moved back to the coast after 30 years in New York City with his partner of 40 years, Will Koolsbergen. He produced, acted in, and directed numerous shows in New Orleans and New York, and was the co-founder of Theatre Marigny in New Orleans. Larry was also an accomplished vocalist.
At the time of his death, Larry was survived by his spouse, Will Koolsbergen.
A graveside service for Larry and Will will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at St. Paul Cemetery in Pass Christian. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport, is honored to serve the Rogers family.
