Lawrence Tabbit Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 17, 2025.
Lawrence "Larry" Tabbit, was called to his eternal home on December 14, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on March 27, 1944, in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, Larry's early years were filled with the simple joys of small-town life, which shaped the humble and kind man he would become.
Larry's journey led him to Miami, Florida and ultimately Leander, Texas, where he spent his final days surrounded by the warmth of his family. He was preceded in passing by his beloved wife, Gina Tabbit, his dear brothers Joe and Leon Tabbit, and his sister Rose Madel. Larry's memory is lovingly cherished by his surviving family members: his sisters Theresa Evans and Marlene Brennan, both of New Jersey; his sons and their spouses, Larry & Bill Tabbit-Humphrey and Joe & Jen Tabbit of Texas; and his three adored grandchildren, Johnny, Elizabeth, and Austin.
Throughout his life, Larry dedicated himself to the noble craft of construction and landscaping, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication. His hands, which so skillfully tended to the earth, were a testament to his commitment to creating beauty in the world. Larry's love for Elvis's music often filled the air as he worked, his heart and soul resonating with the King's timeless melodies.
An avid player of cards, Larry found joy and companionship in the simple pleasure of a well-played hand. His love for nurturing tomato plants was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of his nurturing nature, as he tended to each plant with the same care and attention he gave to his relationships.
Larry's life was a living example of love in action. His kindness knew no bounds, and his selfless spirit was a beacon of light to all who knew him. He touched countless lives with his gentle demeanor and unwavering integrity, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of many.
As we bid farewell, we celebrate a life-lived, and a soul that truly embodied the essence of love. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him, and may his spirit continue to inspire kindness and selflessness in us all.
Though he has departed from our sight, the lessons he taught through his actions and the love he shared will forever be a guiding force in the lives of those he touched. Larry's passage from this life to the next is not an end but a transition to heaven where he will be in a place of eternal peace and joy. May he rest in the loving embrace of his God, where every day is as beautiful as the gardens he once tended and the melodies he so adored.
