Lawrence Patton "Nick" Warner

Lawrence "Nick" Patton Warner, age 78, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia passed away at his home while surrounded by his loving family.
Nick was born in Russell County, Virginia on May 26, 1944, and was the son of the late, Clifford Harvey Warner and Viola Casey Warner. He was a 1963 graduate of King William High School, and later served his country as a U.S. Marine during the Vietnam era. He later went to work as an electrician/coal miner for Jewell Smokeless Coal Corporation. Nick loved to go camping and sit in the sun, soaking in God's nature all around him. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He attended the Claypool Hill Church of Christ and was a lifelong resident of the area.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Plaster Warner; brothers, Lester Cotton Warner and Mack Casey; brother and sisters-in-law, Ronnie Plaster, Donna Miller, and Sandy Colley.

Grandchildren, Holden Bolick, Christian Bolick, and Morgan Warner also survive along with a host of nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.
The funeral service for Lawrence "Nick" Warner will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands with Minister Bob Smith and Rev. Dickie Plaster officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be James Bailey, Gary Plaster, Jack Plaster, Dick Plaster, Sonny Plaster, Jerry Warner, Luke Hyder, and Dwight Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be John Plaster and Tony Mosley. The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, evening at the funeral home.
