"I am totally blown away at this. Layne was a great guy and I considered him a friend. It wasn't long ago, maybe a couple months ago, that i happened upon his number and called him to say hi. it had been at least 15 years, possibly longer, since i had talked with him. he seemed to be in great spirits and we were both happy to exchange our pleasantries with each other.
