Lea Hark, age 93, Getzville, NY, passed away on Mar 9th, 2026. Lea was born near Otepaa, Estonia to Aino and Kustas Hark, Dec 8. 1932. She spent 12 years living in Estonia until the family became refugees in 1944 and were displaced to Germany. There they lived in various Displaced Persons locations until December 1949 when they found a sponsor and were permitted to emmigrate to the United States. Before moving to Buffalo, NY, Lea lived in Lyndonville, VT, and Baltimore, MD. Lea is a graduate of Grover Cleveland HS. She holds a BA in Biology from the University of Buffalo. She loves classical music and the outdoors. Lea is beloved by her surviving family; brother Andres (Kathleen) Hark, nephews Peter (Justine) and Scott Hark. Beloved by grand nieces Lola and Stella Hark. Lea is preceded in death by her parents Aino and Kustas Hark and her twin brother Vaino. The family wishes to thank many organizations who supported Lea with the complications of cerebral palsy. To her "family", the dedicated staff at Aspire Audubon in Getzville, NY for 24 years -- Thank you! and Thank you to Hospice Buffalo. Relatives and Friends may visit Lombardo Funeral Home, 4614 Main St., Snyder on Sunday, March 15th from 1:30-3:30PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donation to Aspire of WNY or Hospice Buffalo.
