Leaha Haygood Huckabee

Funeral services for Leaha Haygood Huckabee, 55, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 3:00P.M. Sunday, August 20, 2023, in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Rd., Monroe, with Rev. Paul Stephens officiating. Interment will follow Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be at 2:00 P.M. until time of service at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Rd. Monroe.

Ms. Huckabee was born August 29, 1967, in Monroe, LA, and passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2023, in Baton Rouge, LA. Leaha was a passionate activist who loved people and animals. She was an avid gardener, and her yard was always full of beautiful plants. More than anything in this world she loved her family.  

Ms. Huckabee was preceded in death by paternal grandparents; Drewitt Rayford and Irene Haygood.

Survivors include her daughter, Ashley Rivera; sons, Jared Huckabee and Aaron Huckabee (Emily); mother, Jackie Durham; father, Rayford Haygood; brother, Bill (Cindy); nieces Madeline Haygood and Lauren Haygood; sister, Temple Ray; granddaughter River Finklea and many dear friends and family.

Pallbearers will be, Aaron Huckabee, Jared Huckabee, Jay Huckabee, Brandon Spires, Bill Haygood, Rock Frost, Terry Huckabee, and David Huckabee.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to Leaha’s friends and family that have supported her throughout her life.
