Leandre William Giguere M.D.

Warren – Dr. Leandre W. Giguere of Warren died on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, in Baystate Wing Hospital with his family by him.
He leaves his wife of 50 years, Martha W. (Wright) Giguere; seven children, William and Barbara of Charlton, Marie-Louise Marco of Belgium, Joseph and Elizabeth Giguere of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Lise-Anne and Frederic Marsel of Paris, France, Angela Einstein and Shane Brooks of Burnham, Maine, Thomas Dooley and Jacqueline Giguere of Sturbridge and Monique Giguere and Dustin Lima of Charleston, Rhode Island; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and his sister, Jacqui Marr. He was predeceased by his sister, Louise Boulet. He was born in Fairfield, Maine, son of the late Joseph L. and Marie (Quirion) Giguere.
Dr. Giguere was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War.
He graduated from Assumption Prep, Assumption College, and attended Babson College. He earned his medical degree from LaVal University in Quebec, Canada. Dr. Giguere practiced pediatric medicine, and later in his career he specialized in anesthesiology.
Leandre always had a sense of humor throughout his long life. He enjoyed sailing, hunting, wood working, traveling to the Bahamas, and visiting his daughters in France. He enjoyed the large family gatherings at China Lake in Kennebec County, Maine, or wherever he was.
A Funeral Mass for Dr. Giguere will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 11AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 22 West Main St., in West Brookfield. There are no calling hours, and everyone should meet directly at the church.
