Leanna Denise Michael

Leanna Michael Leanna Denise Michael, 47, of Fairmont passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born in Fairmont on April 20, 1966, a daughter of Elsie Lee (Heiskell) Michael Cheuvront of Morgantown and the late Gerald K. Michael. Leanna was a licensed real estate agent by trade, working for Real Estate Plus. She had also worked at Aegis and West Virginia University in facilities management. She was a graduate of Morgantown High School and OIC. She was an excellent artist and enjoyed drawing and spending time with her loving family, especially her children. In addition to her mother, she is survived by one son, Tyler A. Michael of Morgantown, one daughter, Cherise Nicole Michael of Fairmont and a step-son, Michael Johnson of Fairmont. Also surviving is a brother, Jeffrey L. Michael of Mannington, her step-father, Carl E. "Peanuts" Cheuvront of Morgantown, nieces and nephews including, Lindsey D. Michael, Nicholas Michael, Krishna Miah Michael, Savannah Michael, Gavin Michael and Mikayla N. Johnson and several aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gregory Michael and her grandparents, Enos and Anna Michael and Fred and Pearl Shelton. Family and friends may call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St. Fairmont on Friday from 1-8 pm and Saturday from 10-11 am. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 11 am with Pastor Tom Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Fairmont.
