Leanne C. Demes

Leanne C. Demes 84, of Glenview, Illinois, passed away on March 27, 2026. Her passing leaves a profound sense of loss among all who knew her, yet in spirit remains present in the memories she created and the kindness she shared throughout her life.

Leanne devoted her life to helping others. A proud graduate of the Columbus Hospital School of Nursing, she built a distinguished career in healthcare, later earning two master's degrees in hospital administration. Her dedication, intelligence and compassion shaped her work and the many lives she touched within the medical community.

Her personal passions were just as rich. She was an avid reader who found comfort, adventure and inspiration in books. She also loved to travel, embracing the chance to explore new places and cultures. Her gentle heart extended to animals as well, and she cared deeply for their wellbeing.

Leanne was the cherished daughter of the late Charles and Lenore Demes, and the beloved sister of the late George Demes (Helen). She is survived by her nephews George Demes and Charles Demes (Christine); her niece Kathleen (Steve) Jedrasek as well as many great-nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry forward her memory with love and gratitude.
