LEANNE "ANNIE" TUCKENHAGEN

Leanne Marie Tuckenhagen (Smith), known to most as Annie or Gram, passed away on March 27, 2026, at the age of 68.

Annie was born on November 26, 1957, to Harry and Florence Smith in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She later made Mora her home, where she spent her years surrounded by family and friends. Annie was known for her kind heart and her ability to make friends wherever she went. She was funny, forgiving, thoughtful, and incredibly giving-qualities that touched the lives of all who knew her.

Annie dedicated part of her later life to working at Eastwood Senior Living, where she served meals to residents. She found great purpose in her work, taking joy in building connections and bringing smiles to those she served.

She had a deep love for her family and played an important role in raising her grandchildren. Many special moments were spent agate picking, often along the shores of Mille Lacs Lake-something she truly loved. Over the years, Annie built a large and treasured collection of agates, which she continued to enjoy even when she could no longer go out searching for them.

Annie also enjoyed macramé, baking her family's homemade buns, and had a special place in her heart for animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Florence (Haugen) Smith, and her brother, Larry Smith.

Annie is survived by her daughter, Amber Smith (Andy Gobel); her grandchildren, Nick Lee (Jose Bazaldua), Baily (Ridge) Randall, Cole Lucking (Brenna Klawiter), and Rylee Lucking (Jerald Bixby IV); her great-grandchildren, Navy, Lincoln, and JJ; and her sister-in-law, Donna Smith.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 2:00 - 4:00pm at the Eastwood Life Enrichment Center at 160 Valhalla Circle in Mora (Mora HRA). Refreshments will be served, and all are welcome to attend.

Annie will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and love will live on through her family and the many lives she touched. Her life reminds us to be a little kinder, a little more forgiving, and a little more present-to find joy in the simple things and to love deeply and without hesitation.
