Lebi P. Velez

Lebi P. Velez was born in Poteet, Texas on May 25, 1938, to Sebastian and Luciana Velez and went to be with the Lord on February 24, 2026, at the age of 87. Lebi was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend; his friends loving called him "Shorty". He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his children Rosalinda Garza and Victor Velez, parents and siblings. Survivors include his beloved wife of 67 years, Dolores M. Velez, loving children Joe G. Velez, Ruby Mancha, and Mary Esther De Leon, sisters Virginia Gonzalez and Mary Alice Reyna, brothers Eloy Velez, Manuel Velez, Sebastian Velez, and San Juan Velez, 10 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Brookehill Funeral Home with a rosary to begin at 6:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church with a procession from the funeral home. Interment will follow at San Jose Burial Park.
