MRS. LEDA BLANCHE MICHAL BLOODWORTH, age 87, of Eastman, GA, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at her residence.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00AM Monday, November 24, at St. Mark Catholic Church, with Father John Stevens officiating, with interment in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Leda was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 17, 1938, to the late Ludmila Kavaghn Michal and Blaze Michal. She was a graduate of Highland Park High School in Highland Park, MI, and worked for APEX Broach and Machine Company in Detroit, MI for many years as a controller and office manager. She and her husband later moved to Eastman, GA 1997, after they retired. She was an active member of St. Mark Catholic Church, where she helped organize the music and sang in the choir. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother, who enjoyed traveling with her husband and family. In addition to her parents, Leda was preceded in death by her Husband of 68 years, James William "Jim" Bloodworth.

Leda is survived by her Daughter – Cynthia Hilliard (David) of Donalsonville, GA; Son – Edward Bloodworth (Victoria) of New Baltimore, MI; Grandchildren – Clayton Hilliard, Jessie Hilliard, Samuel Hilliard, James "Jimmy" Bloodworth, and Paige Bloodworth; Sisters – Margaret Michal and Marie Ferguson; Several nieces and nephews.

The family may be contacted at the Bloodworth residence, 5441 Pine Drive, Eastman, and will receive friends in St. Mark Catholic Church following the celebration of life service on Monday, November 24. The family has requested the omittance of flowers, and would prefer donations be made the Christian Life Center, 307 King Street, Eastman, GA 31023, or to St. Mark Catholic Church, 1687 Hawkinsville Hwy., Eastman, GA 31023, in honor of Leda.
