Pauline, Although it's been many years since we've seen you, we have continued to follow your family's journey by way of Pam Bullis (my cousin). She told me this morning of Lee Roy's death. Since we're old neighbors (from a million years ago) i wanted to send you a virtual hug ((( 0 ))) and send wishes that you and your family will be flooded with fond memories of Lee Roy's life. (In our family photo album i recall a picture taken, with both of you in the picture, on the occasion of the baptism of one of my sisters outside of Haygood Church.)
Blessings,

Reader's Digest coined the expression "my most unforgettable character" and that is how I fondly recall Lee Roy. I remember when as Lay Leader of St. Mark's UMC in Hampton and I learned the name of our new pastor would be Lee Roy Brown I chuckled as the lyrics of Bad Bad Leroy Brown drifted through my mind.

I will never forget that first visit to the extremely hot sanctuary of St. Mark's when Lee Roy asked if the pastor wore a robe during the summer.

I fondly recall our many visits both in person and via the telephone. We shared in each other's moments of joy and of grief.

Most of all, we will always cherish our friendship; and to Pauline & Martha we extend our most heartfelt sympathies.
