Lee Wayne Collins Jr. lost his fight with life on Tuesday, October 21st, 2025 just 16 days shy of his 65th birthday. He was in the deep, dark depths of poor health though he was a frequent flyer in those trenches. Lee fought sickness and pain the majority of his life from his diagnosis of porphyria in his early years to his recent account with acute myeloid leukemia.
Lee was born in Pawhuska, OK on November 6th, 1960. He graduated high school in Moore Oklahoma in 1979. Outside the four walls of medical establishments, Lee has many occupational assignments throughout his 64 years. His proudest moments may have been working on the flight line of B52's on the Tinker Air Force Base as a civilian and stewarding his fellow mechanics. From then on he was a wheeler and dealer, and good time thrill seeker. He enjoyed riding his Harley, mowing his lawn, playing with his grandkids and procuring his generators, buses and fire trucks from public surplus, and traveling far and wide at the drop of a hat. He was proud of the oddities he found and the deals and treachery he endured to get them. His true love he found in the Walmart check out line. He bagged his wife of 44 years there and was engaged after two short weeks of dating.
Lee is survived by his loving wife, Toy Collins of the home in Atoka, OK. Eldest son, Justin Collins of Oklahoma City, OK, son, Cody Collins and wife Jennifer of Dallas, TX; daughter; Caitlyn Collins and fiancé Logan Smith of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, Jakob Foster, Nash Foster both of Dallas, TX, Trinity Collins of Durant, OK, Jordan Collins of Oklahoma City, OK, Conner Allen of Atoka, OK; mother in law, Toy Moore of Lane, OK; brother, Jake Collins of Oklahoma City, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Wayne Sr. and Jackie Faye (Wassom) Collins; sister, Kelly McVay.
