Lee was a good friend. We had a lot of good time stalking about nonsense and having a few laughs and at some point it would often morph into some philosophical discussion about the nature of things or the human condition. It could go almost anywhere. Lee had a great sense of humor and he was really smart. I used to like going over to his house and he would fire up the forge he made and we would melt iron and other metals. It made a lot of smoke and noise. It was pretty entertaining stuff. He also told me about the " Big Three"; Hot Rats, Weasley Rip My Flesh and Hot Rats. All albums by Frank Zappa. We used to ride around and listen to all sorts of music Jefferson Airplane, Eric Burdon and the Animals, Country Joe and the Fish, The Doors and many others. He had a great album collection that one day to my dismay he got rid of. Seems like he was concerned about room. I don't remember what happened to them. I thinkhe might have given most of them away, maybe to Paul Flowers who was also one of his good friends.He liked working with his lathe and was good at fixing cars. He used to help me with mine. He liked collecting stamps and coins and he even had some albums by Ramblin Jack Elliot in his record collection that disappeared. He loved his Mom his Dad and his Brothers. He thought family was important. You could tell by the way he talked. We'll all miss you Lee. I'm miss you already.
