Lee Healy

It is with heavy hearts yet profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Lee Monte Healy on August 1, 2023. Born on January 26, 1944, in Caldwell, Idaho, Lee built a life marked by unassuming brilliance, thoughtful kindness, and steadfast support for all who were fortunate to know him. His quiet intelligence was not one to demand attention, but rather one that shone through his actions, making a lasting impact on his loved ones and community.
Lee was a master at breathing new life into things others had given up on. As the owner of a body repair shop, he transformed wrecked automobiles into their former glory, his passion for old cars guiding his talented hands. His love for scuba diving mirrored his professional life-just as he brought cars back from the brink, he loved exploring the underwater world, its beauty, and mystery fascinating him. Lee, a certified dive master and instructor, was always eager to share the joys of diving with his children and grandchildren, making cherished memories with them beneath the surface. His love for his family was a constant, unwavering beacon in his life. No event was too small for him to attend, no achievement of his loved ones too minor to celebrate.
A devout Catholic, Lee attended church every Sunday and often daily Mass and was actively involved in Celebrate Recovery. The verse from the Book of Matthew, "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth," resonates deeply with how Lee lived his life. His humility and gentle spirit were his strengths, making him a pillar of support for those around him. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Henrietta, his devoted children, Kenneth, Kathy and Chasteen, his sister Sue Jessen, his six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Betty Healy, and his sister, Leslie Bailey.
Lee's life was a testament to the beauty of quiet strength, steadfast love, and humble service. As we grieve his loss, we also celebrate the countless ways he touched our lives.
