Lee Henderson, Jr.

     Harvey "Lee" Henderson, Jr., age 80, passed away June 29, 2024 after a short illness. He will be cremated. A memorial service will be held on March 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at the Cloud Family Gathering at Damascus Free Will Baptist Church in Marianna, FL. 

     Lee was born October 1, 1943 in Marianna, FL to Rev."Harvey" Lee and Edna Mae Cloud Henderson, Sr. Lee, the first of seven children, attended Bratt Elementary, then graduated from Ernest Ward High School, McDavid, FL. He then joined the Navy and was stationed in Mayport, FL. There he met and married Mary Jo Haas and they were married 44 years.

     He was a member of Eldorendo Holiness Church. The family wishes to express gratitude to Pastor Rawleigh and Rita Furney of Eldorendo Holiness Church for their friendship and care for Lee during his last few years.

     He is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Dianne (Walter) Schenk; grandchildren, B. B., Judah, and Jamie Schenk; siblings, Myra (Blaine) Etterling, Doug (Kathy) Henderson, Carol (Victor) Caine, Merle (Tim) Jordan, and Paula (Gene) Gilbert, sister-in-law, Louise Henderson; uncles, Willard and John Henderson, one aunt, Louise Hicks; and many cousins and friends. Lee was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and one brother, Don Henderson.
