Lee was a farm hand for the Burns Dairy Farm in the town of Fremont and had also worked for other area farms. He also worked for 15 years at the Hornell Evening Tribune.
He was born October 29, 1954 at the former Bethesda Hospital in North Hornell, to the late Richard and Ethel (Ball) Houghtaling.
Lee is survived by a daughter Stacey Kull of Pa. three sisters Ella Howard of Canisteo, Linda Chase of Hornell and Patricia Rodrigues, on brother Mike (Carey) Houghtaling of Hornell, 3 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
He was predeceased by two sisters Daisy Quant and Etta Teribury and two brothers Joe and Harvey Houghtaling.
A celebration of life will take place Sunday, November 23, 2025 from 2-4 pm at the Howard Community Building, Howard, NY. Final interment will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions in Lee's name may be made to any area FFA or 4-H organization.
Arrangements are in care of H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home in Canisteo.
