Lee and I grew up together in Camden, and knew each other from about 4 yrs of age He was a constant, always calling every so often with news about our classmates and friends. I last spoke to him about 8 months ago. He hadn't called and I was worried, but though he sounded more frail than usual, he said he was fine. I am so sad that he is gone. He will truly be missed. To my dearest Andy, Shari and family- I have known Lee Laskin for over 50 years. He was the father to my dearest friend Shari...and he was a force to be reckoned with! He was a no nonsense man, but always had a slight twinkle in his eye. Growing up as teenagers, it was not uncommon for Lee to pick up the other line on the phone as Shari and I were discussing important topics such as what we were going to wear to school the next day, and hear him say " the phone is for COMMUNICATION and NOT conversation"....we were in utter awe of him- and had (and still do) the deepest respect for him. He will be remembered for being a man we all looked up to for his immense love of family, his strength, intellect, guidance, fairness, and special soft inner core. He was was truly a man among men. God bless you Mr. Laskin. Fly high...straight to the arms of God.

Lee was a close family friend and really like a second father to me growing up. He was always willing to help and guide my brother and I even into our adulthood. Our families shared many memorable times together. Sincere condolences from Fred Cilurso and the Cilurso family.
