Lee Monroe Manges, age 83, of Asheboro, stepped out of his life on Earth and into his Eternal life on June 28, 2025, surrounded by his wife, Rose and son, Shaun. Lee had deep faith and was looking forward to meeting Jesus and being reunited with loved ones. He was born November 4, 1941 in Erie, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Veo and Billie McAvoy Manges and grew up in both PA and NY. Lee proudly served in the US Marine Corp and his patriotism for his country remained strong. Even as his health waivered, Lee always stood with his hand on heart every time he heard the National Anthem. Following his military service, Lee worked in both inside and outside sales, at the time of his retirement he was sales manager. Lee enjoyed meeting people and training others to have successful sales careers. He enjoyed nature and watching birds, his pets and playing hearts on the computer. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife and soulmate, Rose Chilson; daughter Tracy France (Ken); sons, Shaun Chilson and Matt Manges; three grandchildren, Dylan, Dustin, and Ashtyn; two great grandchildren, Ethan and Leah; sisters, Maxine, Karen, Darlene, Marlene and Cindy; brothers, George (Sally) and Greg (Sharon) and ; many nieces and nephews. Lee was welcomed into eternity by his parents; son, Chris Chilson; four sisters, Paricia, Veneta, Ruby and Georgette; and his brother, Larry. At Lee's wishes a celebration of his life will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date. Memorials may be made to Paws Along the River Humane Society (pawsalongtheriver.org) or Wounded Warrior Project (support.woundedwarriorproject.org) in honor of Lee and are welcome. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Lee, please visit our floral store.
