Scratch has given me more pleasure than any other musician for over 50 years. The only true genius I have ever met, on three separate occasions. Goodbye my old friend. X

Lee “Scratch” Perry was a giant in reggae music, a singer and producer who pioneered the new genre of dub that create the genre in Jamaica and bring it to international attention. May the love and many, many special memories you shared with your devoted loved one show how much your life was touched by him. May the God of comfort bless your grieving hearts with strength, loving kindness and peace as the world copes with loss the of Lee "Scratch" Perry. May his music and legacy keep his memory alive forever.

I am so sorry about the loss of "Scratch". OMG his music is amazing and he will always be remembered! My condolences are with the Perry family. I pray that you will be surrounded by the love & support that you need. And may "the God who supplies endurance and comfort" (Roman's 15:5) be with you always.
