Lee Arthur Smith passed away on December 8, 2023 at St Michaels Medical Center Silverdale, Washington. He was born on May 18, 1952 in Harrisburg, Arkansas to Jim Smith and Edna Brunson. The family moved to Jonesboro, Arkansas in 1962. Lee graduated from Jonesboro High School in the class of 1970. In 1972, he joined the Navy and was deployed to the Philippines where he met his future wife, Lydia Palacio. The two were married in December 1973. Lee leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Lydia, a son Richard, a stepdaughter, Maria and five grandchildren Matthew, Elizabeth , Royce, Junior and Libby, a Sister Marie Sinks and brother Jimmy Smith and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

Lee was released from active duty in 1975. He worked at the Long Beach Va Hospital then, later began a career working at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard in 1978 in Long Beach, California before transferring to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in the mid 90s. He retired in December 2014, and enjoyed his days playing his guitar, writing music, fishing (even if the fish weren't biting), and spending time with his family.

His Services will be Thursday December 21, 2023, 9:00 am at Tuell-McKee Funeral Services 4843 Auto Center Way Suite A, Bremerton, WA He will be interred at Tahoma National Cemetery 18600 SE 240th Kent, WA 98042 on December 21st at 2:00pm. The full obituary can be read on tuellmckee.com
