Lee Francis Villeneuve was born on March 24, 1934, in Plymouth, Wisconsin to Theodore and Edith (Gessert) Villeneuve.

Lee graduated from Aquinas High School in Lacrosse, WI. He then served his country in the Navy and after that he would go on to learn land surveying. His love for surveying would continue for 67 years bringing him to Menomonie where he would start his own land surveying business in 1970. Lee was the president of the Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors for many years and held many different positions in the local chapter.

Lee married Elaine (Oredson) at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Lee and Elaine raised four boys and enjoyed traveling together. They took many trips to the Whitehaven Bed and Breakfast in Minocqua along with North Carolina and Texas to visit their two sons and grandchildren.

Lee had a love for the big band music and especially the Count Basie Orchestra and his friend Johnnie Williams on the saxophone. His second love was the Green Bay Packers, and he never missed a game.
