Lee Von Summers, age 86, of Winslow, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025. Born in St. David, Arizona, on December 14, 1938, to Robert and Jewel Mangum Summers, Lee lived a life defined by faith, service, and devotion to family. In his early years, Lee proudly served in the United States Navy, attending Radioman Class A School and dedicating himself to his country. In 1951, he moved with his family from Wilcox, Arizona, to Winslow, Arkansas, where he would spend the rest of his life surrounded by the beauty of the Ozarks and the warmth of his community. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and his beliefs guided him throughout his life. Lee was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert (Bobby) Arnold Summers. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Norma Lea Summers; his daughter Leadana Dempsey and her husband Shawn of Huntsville; three sons, Dean Carney and his wife Debbie of Winslow; Rion Dwane Summers and his wife Kelina of Bella Vista; and David Grant Summers and his wife Toni of Rogers. He is also survived by his sisters Connie Wright Ferris of Phoenix, Arizona, and Ellen Center of Winslow, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Lee was a man of quiet strength, unwavering faith, and deep love for his family. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his dedication to those he loved, and the life he built in the hills of Arkansas. He was also a passionate sports fan, with a lifelong love for Razorback football, the Kansas City Chiefs, and Cardinals baseball-teams that brought him joy and excitement throughout the years. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Chapel. There will be a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation in honor of Lee's life and service. To place an online tribute, please visit www.bernafuneralhomes.com
