Leland Richard Kristie, 9 of Clarksville, Arkansas, went to his heavenly home, Monday, July 31, 2023.. He was born February 10, 2014 in San Diego, California to Matthew Allen Kristie and Honor Alice Hansen Kristie . He was preceded in death by his great grandparents.
Leland loved being outdoors. He was an avid dirt bike rider, could fish with the best of them, enjoyed hunting and was quite a good marksman. Leland was naturally curious and intelligent beyond his years, earning him a title of Little Man. He was very mechanically inclined and loved turning a wrench, always working on his next bike, go-kart or tractor. Leland was very inquisitive always asking questions, and then a very thoughtful and diligent listener. There was nothing he could not learn to do, when he set his mind to it, whether it be learning the guitar, sewing with leather or working with metal for fun. Leland was so kind, had an enormous serving heart, so passionate about helping others, never expecting nor wanting in return. Leland could make a friend any and everywhere he went with his giant sweet grin. He loved God and his family immensely. Leland Richard was named for his great grandfather and certainly lived up to the name by being a courageous, kind, loving and humble young man. We cannot put into words how extraordinarily special Leland was. We can only say heaven gained a true angel when he made his heavenly flight.
He is survived by his loving parents, Matthew and Honor Kristie; his siblings, Lucinda Lou Kristie, Lucas Robert Kristie, Leo John David Kristie; his grandparents, Lucinda Alice Scott Hansen, John David Hansen, Robert Steven Kristie, Sherry Kristie and Jill Allen; great grandparents, Richard "Dick" Irving and Kay Irving, as well as several aunts, uncles and other family and friends.
His Life Celebration will be 11am, Saturday, August 5,, 2023 at Hedgeway Church in Lamar, with Bro. Don Alexander officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
