Leland Ross Schroyer 1957- 2024 Leland Ross Schroyer passed peacefully in the early morning hours of November 11, 2024, at Poudre Valley Hospital with his son, Brandon, by his side. Lee was born in
Laramie, Wyoming, on December 20, 1957, to Muriel Garrett Schroyer and Howard Schroyer. He attended Thayer Elementary, Laramie Jr. High, and graduated from Laramie Senior High in 1976. While in high school, Lee was active as a photographer on the yearbook staff and a part of the Laramie High School Swim Team. He was also active in DeMolay.
Lee graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1980 with a bachelor's in business administration. After graduating, he embarked on a journey that took him across different cities as a manager with Corral West Ranch Wear.
Lee returned to Laramie in 1988 and worked at The Feed Store. He enjoyed working for Bob Zorko and always looked up to Bob as his mentor. While working at the Feed Store, he met Lorri Pedersen, who came in to buy duck and rabbit food for her sons' pets. After two years of seeing each other every other Saturday, a chance encounter on a Saturday night brought them together. They were married in the Methodist Church eight months later, on May 18, 1991. Their son, Brandon, joined their family in 1993.
Lee and Lorri owned ASAP Sprinklers and Landscaping, where Lee thrived as a business owner. He grew the business exponentially, and he loved his work and the customers he served. After retiring from the landscaping business, Lee went to work at the University of Wyoming as a Maintenance Tech for Residence Life. He was looking forward to retiring in January 2025.
Lee is survived by his wife, Lorri; sons, Mark Pedersen (Sara), Ryan Pedersen (Candy), and Brandon Schroyer (Miranda); grandchildren Marek, Addie, Cameron, Mason, and Grayson, whose birth was three short weeks before Lee's passing; brothers Howard (Patricia) and Gordon (Julie) and their families.
A Celebration of Lee's Life will be on June 28, 2025, at 1:00 pm in the Phoenix Ballroom on the 2nd Floor of the Laramie Plains Civic Center with Pastor Adam Coop officiating.
