Lemuel Henry Payne, 73, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on March 6, 2026.
He was born on February 26, 1953, in Naylor, Missouri, to Henry Payne and Cleta (Nesbit) Payne. Lemuel married Glenna Packineau in Naylor, Missouri. He served in the United States Army.
Lemuel is survived by his wife, Glenna Payne; two sons, Jason Payne, and John Payne; three daughters, Heather Payne, Marsha, and Stephanie; and one sister Anne Schaper. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Cleta Payne. A host of family and friends survive.
Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later date. Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home is assisting with all arrangements.
