Lemuel M. “Sonny” Latham of Selma, Alabama passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024 at the age of 83.
He was born on April 12, 1941.
Sonny was a former glass cutter for Assurance Glass Company and in his younger years served his country faithfully in the United States Military.
He is survived by his children, Sandra Mitchell, Angela Latham Smith (Freddy), Kirk Latham, and Timothy Latham (Shirley); 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Jeanette McHaney, Brack Latham, Shirlyn Sheridan, Clodean Fluker, and Willie Merle Pigg.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lemuel W. Latham and Ethel Muntz Latham; wife, Sarah Latham; and siblings, Bonnie, Dean, Natha Lee, and Billy.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August, August 21, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande, Alabama.
Pallbearers will be Travis Poynor, Matthew Foley, Tony Smith, Donnie Loper, Kenneth Nichols, and Keith Belcher.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the Selma Funeral Home in Valley Grande, Alabama.
