Len Samuel Burton

Len spent several mornings in the fall of 1990 showing and telling me about the FBI. I was 13, in a class called Mentorship, where a grown-up showed you the ropes of a job you might be interested in.

I never become an agent, but I will always remember Len's kindness --- and how I had a hard time keeping up with him going up the stairs up to his office. He wouldn't take the elevator!

On our last day, he took me up his plane.

My stepfather, who also worked for the government, knew and admired Len too.

Len is an inspiration. He set the bar high, and he was hard to keep up with.

My condolences to the Burton family at this time of great loss. May you all find peace in our Heavenly Father and the love of friends and family.
