Lena Faye Engle

Lena Faye Bickford was born March 2, 1932, near Fairvalley, Oklahoma, to Carl Burton and Florence Myrtle (Graves) Bickford. She passed away at her home east of Freedom, Oklahoma, on the 9th of July, 2024, at the age of 92 years.
Lena Faye graduated from Farry High School with the class of 1949 and attended Business School in Enid, Oklahoma.
On March 20, 1951, she was married to Donald Ray Engle at Santa Rosa, New Mexico.
To their marriage three sons, Daniel, Allan and David, were born.
Following their marriage they made their home in Waynoka, Oklahoma, where Lena Faye was a lifelong homemaker.
Lena Faye was a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church.
Lena Faye is preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her infant son Daniel; and her parents.
Lena Faye is survived by her sons, David of Alva, Oklahoma, and Allan and wife Carol of Richmond, Kansas, and their children Kathlyn of Manhattan, Kansas, and fiancé Andrew Robben of Colby, Kansas; Erinn and Derek Simmons of Belfast, Maine; and Ethan of Topeka, Kansas; and other relatives and friends.
A service has been set at Wharton Funeral Chapel at 11 am on Friday July 12, with the graveside being held at the Freedom Cemetery at 1pm.
