What a spectacular man, a true gentleman.
I had the honor of meeting him and spending time as he told stories of his families life and legacy.
How proud he was to live in his grandfathers home and to continue being an integral part of the community.
Last we spoke, he had invited me to come help the next time he bailed hay - I was excited.
My sincere sympathies to all, especially Brad as it was with Brad that we met and had chat.
May the Conklin family legacy of love, honor and service continue.

Lenny, a kind man with a big heart, loved his community and vice versa. Lived each day to his fullest. His vest for life was intoxicating keeping active with his multiple generations deep of family, abundance of friends with luncheons, dinners, dancing, with plenty of time to take care of the wildlife of deer and birds. You could always catch him driving around town in his red Jeep, which he kept up so well. I enjoyed our ice cream run and I´ll miss you my friend.

Len was a great, outgoing, friendly guy. Local "legend" to the "old timers"...he was someone you could count on and know he was genuine. The families go back a ways and we'll surely miss him. Best to the entire
"clan".....Charlotte and Karla Phillips

Lenard was the best friend a NYS Environment Conservation Officer could ever have. Lenard allowed myself and ECO Tom Harrington to rent his apartment at a modest price concerning the area. Lenard took us on tours and specifically ID areas and individuals of interest. Within our first month in Stony Point, Lenard observed a night deer poaching event on park property near his home. He immediately contacted us in the wee hours of the morning and an apprehension of two deer poachers and seizure of an 8 point deer, spotlight, tree stand, 22 caliber rifle, and tent camp site. Lenard showed numerous fishing, hiking, and deer horn collection sites. I am so grateful to have met this wonderful man along with his wife Nora and family. I grieve his loss but have been extremely blessed by his gracious friendship. God bless the Conklin family.
