Lennie Jones Obituary
LIMA -- Lennie "Sally" L. Jones, 93, of Lima, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at her daughter's home.
She was born on July 5, 1932, in Lima to the late Welty and Goldie Burkholder. On July 27, 1963, she married Bobby Jones, who preceded her in death in 2014.
She was a florist for many years and worked at House of Flowers. She enjoyed gardening, both flowers and vegetables, and hummingbirds. Sally was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes and was a member of Lima Baptist Temple. She had a sweet tooth and loved her coffee, even at 9 p.m. Above all else, family was everything. She was truly the glue that held the family together.
She is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Chris) Jones, Laura Thomas, and Christina Schimpf; grandchildren: Missy (Zack) Stahlecker, Jesse (Jen) Jones, Heather (Erik) Garn, Summer Swaim, Ashley Schimpf, and Brandon (Kylee) Schimpf; great-grandchildren: Jordyn (Jared) England, Jenna Stahlecker, McKenna Garn, Wyatt Garn, Gavin Jones, Seth Jones, Tristin Stevenson, Jayden Stevenson, Tia Stevenson, Nevaeh Dancer, Callie Schimpf, Paisley Schimpf, and Rhett Schimpf; great-great-granddaughter Reagan England; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Wright; great-grandson, Grayson Marshall Garn; and all her siblings.
Her family will receive friends on Friday, December 26, 2025, from 1 - 5 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima. The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. Pastor Gary Hohman will officiate.
