Avon Lake, Ohio passed away Friday, January, 9, 2026. She was born May 3, 1930 in
Cleveland, Ohio to parents William and Anna (nee Schuster) Schwarz. During her childhood, Lenore lived with her family in the West Park neighborhood and graduated from John Marshall High School, class of 1947. Lenore attended Bowling Green State University for two years studying biology and enjoyed drawing botanical illustrations. She later worked as a secretary for her uncle who designed and created archery bows and arrows, and Lenore enjoyed the job of painting the detailed embellishments on the arrows.
In 1958, Lenore married Robert Juergens of Rocky River; they had four children but later divorced. In 1972, Lenore married Richard "Dick" Lang, and they remained married until his death in October 2024. Lenore supported Dick's business, R.J. Lang Sales, as a bookkeeper for several decades. Over the years, Lenore was involved with Welcome Wagon and enjoyed bowling, tennis at the Rocky River Racquet Club, bridge nights, and the Swingsters Dance Club with numerous friends and extended family, including Maxine and Rolly Field, Susan and Jack Storm, and Olive and Charlie Stiles. She also enjoyed playing the piano especially with her teacher, Bob Ritter. Lenore and Dick travelled together to the Caribbean, Europe, the UK, Alaska, and the Northwest; many trips included her sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Fred Wolff. Lenore had a good knowledge of plants and flowers, maintained a colorful variety in her yard, and had an eye for flower arranging. Lenore enjoyed showering gifts on her grandchildren and later great grandchildren – she was generous and loved celebrating holidays and birthdays with family and friends.
Lenore is survived by her loving children Lori Gross (Klaus), Robert Juergens (Jacqui), and Scott Juergens; step-children Annette Morgan (Tom), Brian Lang (Brenda), Marge Lang, and Chris Lang; 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
