In addition to being a generous and kind human being, Leo was a consummate professional, always there when hard work needed to be done. An amazing role model.

I only knew Leo for a short time as a CRNA student. However his influence was profound and life altering. Leo's ability to interact, his personality and overall cheerful countenance simply reflected his humanity. He truely made a differance for me. Thank You Leo.

Leo was blessed with the gift of having a positive lifelong effect on numerous individuals´s lives. More than most people, he left his mark on the world via his students. He was my teacher 50 years ago, and I still remember his humor and especially his patience. RIP my old friend. I will see you again someday.

I am so sorry to learn of Leo's passing, and am so moved by reading about his career in the military, including being in Vietnam---all of which just adds to the deep admiration I have held for him since first meeting him. I think he is one of the nursing legends in our state, and his presence and wisdom will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathy to the entire family. My heart is with Christine, Terry, Rob, and the entire family during this incredibly hard time. Leo was such a gentle, loving man who always made me feel like family. I´ll never forget his laughter, his kindness, and the way he patiently helped me with my homework. Holidays and family gatherings will never feel the same without him. He will always hold a special place in my heart. Sending you all so much love, strength, and comfort as you grieve
