Winsted - Leo Bruce Aisenbrey, age 87, of Winsted, Minnesota passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024 at his residence.

He was born on January 23, 1937 in Aberdeen, South Dakota the son of Calvin J. & Blanche (Evans) Aisenbrey.

He graduated from High School in 1955.

On December 30th, 1956 Leo B. Aisenbrey and JoAnn L. Ellingson were joined in holy marriage. God blessed their marriage with two children. Leo was married to his loving wife Jo Ann until her untimely passing on August 1995. She was the love of his life!

In 1957, Leo & JoAnn moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. After Bryan was born, the family moved to Coon Rapids, Minnesota in 1960 where he lived until May of 2002 when he moved to Winsted, Minnesota to be near his daughter Jane and her husband Brian Diers.

He began his professional career in the Printing Industry in 1959, working mainly at John Roberts Printing from 1959 thru 1982. Leo became a Journeyman Pressman in 1968 after serving three apprenticeships. He was ultimately the leadman on a 5 color printing press. He ended his career as the night foreman at University of Minnesota Print Shop. He retired on April 1st, 1996.

Leo was a devoted family man raising his two children Bryan and Jane.

He enjoyed his hobbies, especially reading and relaxing with his various collections over the years. He spent many weekends at the cabin with his family, where there were always projects to take care of. In his later years, he concentrated on the things he loved, mainly his family and hobbies.

He was a long- time member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winsted, Minnesota.

He was a patriot who loved his Country, his family and friends. We will miss him greatly!

Leo is survived by his son Bryan Aisenbrey; a daughter: Jane (Brian) Diers; his sisters: Marilyn Hedblom of Mitchell, South Dakota and Annette Swanberg of Dell Rapids, South Dakota; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife JoAnn, his parents Calvin and Blanche Aisenbrey, a brother Cal, sister Marge Walding, a brother Robert, a brother Paul and by a brother Gene.

A Memorial service for Leo B. Aisenbrey will be held on Thursday, June 20th, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winsted. Pastor Dave Hormann will officiate. Sheryl Menden will be the organist and Bruce Gatz will be the soloist.

Inurnment will be held at a later date at The Scandinavian Lutheran Church Cemetery in Stratford, South Dakota.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20th AT THE CHURCH one hour prior to services.
