Leo Merrit Bowles

Leo was born on October 17, 1921 and passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016. Leo was a resident of Bent Mountain, Virginia at the time of his passing. Leo served as a staff sergeant in the 319th Regiment 80th Division and received a bronze star for meritorious bravery in combat. He was married to Viva. The family invites you to join them in celebrating Leoâs life on Sunday January 10th 2016 at Mount Union Church of the Brethren Bent Mountain VA. Visitation with the family will be held at 2pm followed by a memorial service at 3pm officiated by Greg Fleshman Horace Light Jr Gene Craighead and Tara Shepherd. Flowers will be gladly received by Oakeyâs South Chapel in Roanoke VA. Donations can be made to the Mount Union Building Fund P.O.
