Jeffrey K. Neinast, 63, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on October 26, 2025, in Arlington, Texas, where he was born on June 29, 1962.
Jeff was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma (stage IV lung cancer) in 2015 which then metastasized to his brain in 2016. He tested positive for the ALK gene, which opened the door for advanced treatment. He battled for 10 years, a tremendous achievement considering the stage of cancer he was initially diagnosed with. His battle provides hope that stage IV cancer can be lived with, and a beautiful life built.
Jeff’s life was a tapestry woven with stories, laughter, and an unwavering love for his family. He graduated from Sam Houston High School, setting the stage for a life characterized by dedication and hard work. For 22 years, he served as a committed employee at UPS, where he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of his colleagues.
As an avid sports enthusiast, Jeff demonstrated deep allegiance to the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers, celebrating countless games with passion and enthusiasm.
On October 14, 2000, Jeff married Barbara Heierman in Arlington, Texas. Their marriage was a partnership rooted in love and mutual respect, and together they created a nurturing home.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Heierman) Neinast; his daughter, Amanda Neinast; his brothers, John Neinast and family, and James Neinast and family; his sister, Claudia Neinast Gray and family; and his brother-in-law, Don Crowson and family. Each of these relationships was cherished, reflecting Jeff’s deep commitment to his family.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Claude Neinast; mother, Jeannine (Scoggins) Neinast, and his sister, Cindy Crowson. The absence of these loved ones in his life shaped much of who he became, as he often shared stories of their influence and legacy.
In his interactions, Jeff had a unique ability to turn strangers into friends, never hesitating to share a story or a laugh. He will be remembered for his chatty demeanor, his kind heart, and the warmth he brought to those around him.
Visitation with family will be held on November 1, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wade Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 4140 West Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Texas, 76013.
As we celebrate the life of Jeffrey K. Neinast, we hold close the memories of his joyful spirit, his devotion to family, and the stories that will continue to be shared by those who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and camaraderie that will forever resonate within the hearts of his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Jeff’s memory.
