Leo (Red) Nowik Jr., 74, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on June 25, 2022. He was born on June 23, 1948 in Poughkeepsie, New York to the late Leo and the late Betty Jane (Aaron) Nowik. Leo was married to Kathleen (Donahue) on March 8, 1975.
Survivors include wife Kathleen Nowik, Poughkeepsie, New York, daughter Amanda Nowik, sister and brother in-law Bonnie and Don Pieschel and numerous grandchildren. Predeceased by son Leo Patrick Nowik and daughter Betty Jean Nowik. We would like to thank Hospice of Dutchess County for their assistance and care.Leo liked and owned sports cars, motorcycles and speedboats. While his family grew, he started his own businesses. He was owner of Nowik Inc. and Contractor Tire. Before that he was manager at BJ Goodrich which is when he met his wife, Kathy. Born and raised in Poughkeepsie, Leo graduated from Poughkeepsie High School in 1966.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday July 16, 2022 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. If you would like to leave an online condolence, please visit our website at www.doylefuneralhome.com
