CUMBERLAND Leo N. Vandal, 91, of Cumberland passed away on Friday, July 18. 2025 at Hope Hospice in Providence. He was the loving and devoted husband of 62 years of the late Annette (Pichette) Vandal.
Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Sylvio and Marie Ange (Nadeau) Vandal. He resided in Cumberland for over 50 years.
Mr. Vandal was an Automobile Mechanic for the former Shore City Lincoln Mercury and the former Kargo Repair Center in East Providence for many years until his retirement. He was a communicant of the St. Aidan-St. Patrick Parish.
He was a passionate Tennis player, but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Leo leaves his two sons, Jeffrey D. Vandal and his wife Jean of Norton, MA and Brian S. Vandal and his wife Melissa of Coventry; his adoring grandchildren, Nicholas, Steven and Matthew; his great-grandson, Leo. He also leaves his sister, Rose LaPerche of Cumberland; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Marcel Vandal, and Jacqueline Fregeolle.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Leo's Life Celebration to be held with a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 11 AM in the St. Aidan-St. Patrick Parish, Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Hope Health, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
