Leon Carroll Obituary
A true patriot, Leon proudly served in the United States Army from 1961 - 1964. While in the army, he was awarded the Expert Rifle Badge. Leon worked for many years with Waste Management, and upon retirement, he worked parttime at the Haralson County Convenience Center in Buchanan. He led an adventurous life and enjoyed riding the back roads of Haralson County. Leon enjoyed driving vintage cars and watching western movies. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Lee & Tina Carroll; his step-children, Angela Powell, Belinda Powell, Becky Bennett, Keith Powell, Roland Powell, Nikki Nyland, Alexia Nyland, and Bruce Nyland; granddaughter, Emma Leigh Carroll and numerous step-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Carolyn Carroll; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Memorial services for Leon Carroll will be conducted on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM
In keeping with Mr. Carroll's wishes, he will be cremated. The family would like to thank The Family Hospice, Stacy Kiker, and Katrina Powell for their care and compassion during Leon's last days.
